Sandplay Course Outline

WORKSHOP 1

• Basics, meaning of symbols and synchronicity, what to notice in the tray

• Understand how to use Sandplay as a clear diagnostic tool

• Set up room, choice of pieces, learn some basic techniques and experience the method personally

• Iintroducing the transpersonal, mindfulness.

• Inner child, role of the victim and life-force

WORKSHOP 2

• Learn how to move beyond the mental to the deepest levels through attunement

• Protection, boundaries and prevention of burn-out. Working with resistance.

• Shadow, soul and energy work, judgement and opinions

• Parents, projection and transference. Ego creation and more on the Inner child.

• Supervision and work with each other.

WORKSHOP 3

• Practice the use of Sandplay with children and dreamwork

• Investigate ways to increase your intuition and empathy

• Effects of the birth, vanishing twins

• Learn extra tools we have created to support sandplay with specialist clients, individually and in groups.

• Supervision and work with each other.

WORKSHOP 4

• Learn how to work with Relationships, couples and bonding

• Transference and projections. Protection and boundaries.

• Outdoor sandplays. Supervision and work with each other.

Requirements for completion of the course

Two 2,000-word essays and reports on 12 clients, 4 at each of the next workshops
